Today isn’t really the beginning of your life together — you’ve already spent years building that life, learning each other, laughing together, growing together, and facing more than your fair share of both joy and heartbreak.

“Yes — you. Still you.
And us.”

So perhaps today is something even more meaningful: a chance to stop, look at each other, and say, “Yes — you. Still you. And us.”

If we could offer you just a little wisdom for the years ahead, it would be this:

Keep helping each other become the best version of yourselves, while never losing sight of the best us you can become together.

Stay curious about each other. Talk about the difficult things. Listen generously. And when you get things wrong — because we all do — don’t waste the failure. Learn from it, reflect on it, forgive where you need to, and grow from it together.

You already know that life will not always follow the path you imagined. But through everything, keep choosing to turn towards one another.

You don’t need a perfect marriage. Just one filled with honesty, kindness, laughter, courage — and two people who keep choosing each other.
